Food Crises and COVID-19 - emerging evidence and implications for action

On 15 September 2020, the Global Network Against Food Crises’s partners will hold a side-event on the margins of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The side-event will provide an opportunity to:

  • consider the latest evidence on the situation in countries affected by food crises under the COVID-19 pandemic, with zoom-in on the situation in specific high-risk countries; and
  • hear from Members on key issues and challenges and to discuss best practice policy approaches and recommendations for concrete, coherent action, particularly in the context of COVID-19.

The side-event will benefit from the participation and intervention from high-level decision-makers, including key Resource Partners, Regional Bodies, National Representatives and UN agencies.
